When was this job posted?

Paste the link to a job posting. If the posting is in this index, you get the date the employer published it, how many days it has been up, and the day this index first saw it.

What the answer means

The date is the employer's own publication date, taken from the applicant tracking system that serves the posting. About six rows in ten carry one; where a source does not publish it, we say so and show the day this index first saw the listing instead.

A long-lived posting is not proof of a ghost job. Intent is not visible from outside a company. What the number tells you is how long the advertisement has been in the market, which is a fair thing to weigh before you spend an hour on an application.

Coverage

Which links work

SourceLink shape
Greenhousejob-boards.greenhouse.io/<board>/jobs/<id>
Leverjobs.lever.co/<board>/<id>
Ashbyjobs.ashbyhq.com/<board>/<id>
SmartRecruitersjobs.smartrecruiters.com/<Board>/<id>-slug
Breezy<board>.breezy.hr/p/<id>-slug
Workday<tenant>.<wd>.myworkdayjobs.com/<site>/job/...

For Workable, Recruitee, Teamtailor and Personio the public link does not carry the identifiers we index by, so we search the index by the words in the link and show the closest matches. Postings published outside these ten systems are not here at all.
